Scenic 30-A

A recent article in the New York Times, titled "In Seaside, Fla., Goodbye Stuffed Flounder, Hello
Foie Gras," October 15, 2005 by Julia Reed discusses how the area of the panhandle along
Scenic 30-A is changing and improving from days gone by.  Santa Rosa Beach, Grayton Beach,
Magnolia Cottages by the Sea, Seaside, Seagrove, Seacrest Beach, Rosemary Beach,
WaterColor, and WaterSound are all adding charm and flavor along the entire length of 30-A.
Climate

The Florida panhandle offers one of the lowest total numbers of heating and cooling
degree days on the east coast.  In addition, because it is adjacent to the Gulf of
Mexico, the extremes of temperature are further moderated and influenced by the
gulf breezes.  The average temperature ranges for the area for winter, spring, and
summer are listed below:

    Month                                     Temperature in Fahrenheit
Jan. – March                                                        63.5
April – June                                                        77.63
July – Sept.                                                        83.34
Winter months are comfortable and relaxing for snowbirds and our pool is heated.
